CIArb Members

From Certification to Career Influence

If you're already a CIArb Member with foundational training and practical exposure in arbitration, this program is built to help you take the next strategic leap. Too many professionals find themselves plateauing after membership, uncertain how to translate credentials into visibility, appointments, or influence. Mentorship Matters offers a high-level, precision-guided experience designed specifically for mid-stage ADR professionals ready to accelerate their growth and impact. This is not another course—it’s an elite-level navigation tool for your arbitration career.

From Certification to Career Strategy

Earning CIArb membership is an essential milestone, but it is not the destination. The real question becomes: what next? This mentorship focuses on exactly that. Participants gain access to strategy sessions focused on developing a personal brand, refining their arbitration positioning, and making their expertise known to the right networks. Whether your aspiration is to be appointed on more complex panels, shift from advocacy to tribunal work, or expand into international jurisdictions, the program is designed to help you define and execute that vision with clarity.

This mentorship helps arbitrators build credibility and professional presence through training in publishing, public speaking, media positioning, and LinkedIn strategy. It provides tailored support for writing, appearances, and CIArb contributions to ensure you are both visible and memorable to top-tier tribunals.

Learn by Shadowing Real-World Arbitration

One of the most valuable components of this initiative is shadowing. You will be attached to real arbitration cases handled by Mian Sheraz Javaid or his professional networks, gaining insight into the procedural rigor, writing discipline, and case management methods of seasoned arbitrators. From pre-hearing directions to final award formulation, the experience reveals the inner mechanics of how arbitrators think, decide, and deliver. This kind of immersion provides clarity and confidence, turning theoretical understanding into tribunal-ready acumen.

Access Networks that Lead to Appointments

CIArb membership opens the door, but this program walks you through it. Through exclusive introductions to institutions, law firms, ADR centers, and chambers, the mentorship expands your presence in the arbitration ecosystem. You’ll learn how to position yourself in institutional panels, apply for appointments, pitch to corporate clients, and engage meaningfully with bar associations, tribunals, and policy platforms. With MSJ’s extensive global affiliations—ranging from ICC and DRBF to CIArb’s regional chapters—you are exposed to a level of visibility that’s difficult to achieve alone.

MSJ Mentorship Program Structure

The MSJ Mentorship Program is designed to deliver deep, structured, and actionable mentorship across two distinct phases: The First Six and The Second Six.

The First Six focuses on core foundational growth—covering personal discipline, professional clarity, communication excellence, strategic decision-making, and problem-solving frameworks curated by MSJ.

The Second Six transitions into advanced exposure, including live case insights, network integration, collaborative tasks, and direct shadowing opportunities.

Upon successful completion of The First Six, mentees become eligible to join the MSJ Club—a lifelong access community of professionals who remain part of MSJ’s inner network.
